"Moon"

"In Moon's embrace"

I made this painting looking into a starry night one day and just the moon made me so obsessed with it that I could not stop myself from picking up the brush and drawing it. The moon symbolizes a lot of things in cultural and religious things. For example, in Greek mythology, the moon was associated with the goddess Artemis. Many cultural festivals are based on lunar calendars such as Ramadan in Islam and certain Hindu festivals like Diwali and Karva Chauth. The moon's phases often hold symbolic meanings in various cultures, representing cycles of life, death, and rebirth. If I talk about the symbolic purposes then the moon symbolizes femininity, intuition.

There is a saying in Japanese which translates to "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?" which means I love you. moon watching with your loved ones is a form of peace which makes everything calm around. moon has different phases and that's how I percept life to be; in different phases and shapes though it holds a beauty of its own always. That is how we should see our life as; No matter how many ups and downs we should always find beauty in it. There is  dark side of moon which inspired me to paint the moon half. The phrase is often used metaphorically to convey a sense of mystery, curiosity, or secrecy. It can symbolize enigmatic forces or phenomena that avoid easy explanation, inviting intrigue and speculation, transformation or the process of us facing and integrating the unknown aspects of oneself or the world.
